slow flying vehicle in the eastern landing paths of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The reports are of sightings which occur after dark, usually in the late night/early morning time frame. It "sounds
like thunder that never reaches the ground," as loud as a nearby freight train. The sound rattles the windows of homes under the vehicle's
flight path. Interestingly, the sound is reported as having "no Doppler effect."
The vehicle is described as large, dark colored, and crescent shaped. As it goes away, its back end appears square. The center of this square
has a red light and the four points of the compass of the square hold large white lights. |
