In 1980 Terry had gotten off work at a bank in New York City and was on her way home on the Sawmill Parkway about two miles west of Pleasantville. It was dark. The time was approximately 7:30 PM. The sky was clear. She saw a small airplane go overhead from west to east toward the Westchester County airport and, following close behind, an enormous object. She pulled to the side of the road to watch for approximately two minutes or so it seemed. She said that the object had numerous antennae and was approximately 1/2 mile long. Intriguingly, she mentioned when she arrived home her mother asked her why she was late; she didn't think she was late. When I first met with her she indicated an interest in exploring this event under hypnosis. This was arranged.
Under hypnosis the date of the event is determined to be Friday, October 16, 1980. She left the bank at 7:17 PM for the drive home which usually takes 20 minutes, but can be as long as 45 minutes if an accident has occurred. The woman was twenty years old at the time. She was driving north on the Sawmill Parkway, which is four lanes wide with a median, when she noticed the small twin engine aircraft going left to right toward the airport. Immediately following the plane was the huge object. She pulled off to the side of the road and looked out her window to get a better look. A green car pulled off in front of her. A male driver was in the car alone. Other cars drove by, apparently not seeing what was occurring above them. The object was very bright, mostly a silvery-white color. It was moving slow and not far above the trees. The object filled her field of view from the trees on the left side of the road to the trees on the right, and to the overpass ahead of her back to the Pleasantville Road overpass behind her. She said she was not frightened, but curious. The male driver looked back at her with an astonished expression on his face and said, "You see it too?"
The white underside of the object had "craters" on the surface, as well as what appeared to be steel beams, girders and lots of antennae. She remembered hearing a low hum. She became startled when she realized that her car had stopped running and her radio, which had been playing, was silent. She remembers starting her car and continuing the drive home after the object passed over. This drive took her one hour fifteen minutes.
Interestingly, under hypnosis the object is seen to be more reasonable in size. It was at least 150 feet wide and 450 to 600 feet long. It had somewhat of a boomerang shape.
The following the hypnosis session her husband called investigators to say that a Pandora’s box had been opened. She had been unable to sleep the previous night. She remembered seeing some kind of "beings" in their backyard at an earlier date. She was in the yard with a large seven-foot entity in front of her and smaller entities were in back of her. This appeared to have happened four weeks prior to the hypnosis session, probably the last week of June, 1993. From her description the small beings were what ufologists commonly call "greys." She described the seven-footer as having a large head, which was well out of proportion to the rest of its very thin body. She does not remember this large entity having ears or a nose, and it had only a slit for a mouth. Its hands had three long fingers and a long opposing thumb. (She also now remembers seeing this same entity at the foot of her bed when she was a young teenager in Yorktown, NY.) She remembers being lead by these entities into the woods behind her house. She was in her night gown and she had no shoes on. As they entered the woods she thought to herself that she didn't want to go because there were ticks. The large being replied mentally, "Don't worry, if you get ticks, I'll get them out."
She doesn't remember what happened after this, except for brief flashes. She remembers being in a bright room and the seven-footer is running its fingers through her hair. She is not sure if it is checking for ticks, but she says the fingers feel very smooth. She remembers seeing markings on the room walls and being told that this is the alphabet the beings use. The walls were white and she remembers a white plaque-like item that blended into the wall.
Her husband remembers waking up one morning in the latter part of June and his wife had mud all over her feet. She could not explain how the mud got there.
In late November, 1993, after this initial report was made, she called, very upset. She was continuing to have flashback memories, of which her seven-year-old daughter was a part. She was concerned about her daughter and wanted to talk with us again.
Terry admitting having a lifelong fear of looking out of windows at night. Recently, one of her flashback memories had included seeing alien-like entities at a window. One was tall with hands that had long fingers. She observed, "He was much too skinny to be one of us. He has big, black eyes and a pear shaped head. [Both had skin that was] not quite white; they're a grayish white. The tall one was over seven feet. I asked them when they were going to let others know. They said they weren't ready." Terry never heard them speak, but knew what they were saying in her mind.
"I remember laying there and [her daughter] was laying about an arm's length from me. She was screaming, and I'm yelling at them, but I can't move. I feel like they always come in the fall of the year. I remember seeing them out the window and in my bedroom when I was young. I asked, 'Why don't you pick on my husband too?' They said, 'We don't need him.' I remember seeing my husband asleep as they take me out of the room."
"I asked them, 'Why is it you won't let me remember everything?' They said, 'You don't need to.'"
Terry remembers being taken to a ship and lying on something that "wasn't really a table." She couldn't describe it well. Everything was white and there were no corners in the room. No lights could be seen; everything was just bright. She asked them why they wouldn't leave her daughter alone, but they wouldn't reply to that question. They did say that they were from another galaxy. However, any further discussion about where they come from was ignored. The entity did tell her that we are being visited by other races, some good and some that are hostile towards us.
Under hypnosis, Terry remembers walking up into the ship and that a white beam of light was coming out from underneath it. Terry then heard a high pitched whine or hum, at which moment the entity who was with her said, "I will take care of you." They then stepped into the light which lifted them up through a large hole in the bottom of the ship.
The entities showed no emotion during these events. The larger one told her that they want to learn how to feel. He stated - mentally, of course - that he wanted to know how we grow up, grow old and die. He told her they they live for a very long time. She asked him to leave her daughter alone, but he said that he "couldn't." Terry asked the entity when she had first been contacted. He replied when she was eight years old and living in New York.
Terry remembers calling the larger one by the name of "Zing." Terry now remembers contacts with Zing at age 12 or 13, 25 and 30. A total of six encounters are now partially remembered consciously. On one occasion she remembers seeing the following symbols on the wall of the room in a ship:
